Open Board Positions
All positions in this section are available to the NVMHAI membership to apply for (Vacant or Renominations). If there are multiple nominees for a position then those will be voted on at the upcoming AGM at the end of April, 2024. Renomination positions have an incumbent where vacant positions do not.
All current NVMHAI members, in good standing, can be nominated for any open position (Vacant or Renomination).
This form will be open until March 30th, 2024.
Vacant Positions
- President: Nathan Burns is stepping down. The Board wishes him well and thanks him for this dedication to Newcastle Minor Hockey!
- Vice President: Brad Baker has chosen to step down as Vice President. The Board wishes him well and thanks him for this dedication to Newcastle Minor Hockey!
- Local League Representative: Paul Maclean is stepping down as the Local League Representative with the intention to nominate for President.
- Coach Development Representative: Bryan Hutchison is stepping down as the Local League Representative with the intention to nominate for Vice President.
- Administrator: Greg Appleton has chosen not to return for another term. If you see Greg around the arena please help us in thanking him for his service to Newcastle Hockey.
- Website Co-ordinator: Jeff Scott has chosen not to return for another term. The Board wishes him well and thanks him for his contributions this season.
- Fundraising Representative: The Board has decided to re-establish a position to cover Fundraising and Lottery in alignment with our bylaws.
Positions for Renomination
The below members are electing to be renominated to their current roles at the AGM.

Closed for Nomination
The below board members were elected at the 2023 AGM and have decided to stay on for year two of their 2-year term.
- O.M.H.A. Representative - Corey Robbins
- Registrar - Sarah Camacho
- Sponsorship Representative - Susan Bailie
- Head Trainer - Liz Collins
- Scheduler/Ice Convenor - Alex Drummond
Nomination period is open until March 30th, 2024 or until positions are filled. Applications will be reviewed at April's Monthly Board Meeting and qualifying nominees will be voted on by the membership at the 2024 AGM at the end of April.
