Annual Award Celebration
The NVMHAI is calling on our membership for nominations for the three annual awards recognizing the contributions of individuals during the hockey season that have had a positive impact on Minor Hockey in Newcastle.
Please see the criteria for the three awards below and nominate the individual you feel is worthy of this recognition.
The NVMHAI Award Nomination Process:
If you are NVMHAI member in good standing please submit your nomination(s) form (below) with a detailed outline of why your selection is a worthy candidate. The winners of each award will be announced at the Annual General Meeting in April of every season.
The criteria for the three awards are as follows:
The Herman Valckx Outstanding Volunteer Award
This award is to honour those individuals, who for many years have served amateur hockey faithfully having participated as players, coaches and/or as active members of the association. A strong candidate is someone who has made an outstanding contribution to NVMHAI. Vote for the unsung heroes!
The Irv McCullough Coach of the Year Award
This award is to acknowledge outstanding service and dedication by a volunteer coach who has devoted his or her time to coaching in NVMHAI. This award is presented to an individual who characterizes the commitment to excellence, skill development, strong leadership, and team performance for the current hockey season. Show your support by casting your vote!
The Franco Pelosa Fan Appreciation Award
This award is to acknowledge an individual who consistently demonstrates team spirit, professionalism and courteous behaviour, embodies NVMHAI's code of conduct and supports his or her team throughout the hockey season. Vote for the most dedicated fan in NVMHAI!
