Accomplishments (Newcastle Village Minor Hockey Association)

Newcastle Stars Initiation #1 participated in the Peterborough PHA Showdown Jamboree this weekend. It was the first Jamboree for all of the kids and a proud moment for parents!  The kids were excited to receive their medals. 

Congratulations to our Newcastle Stars Atom Rep team - the new 2019-2020 Victoria Durham League Champions! They played a rough and tough series to capture the win! Congratulations!!

Congrats to our 2019-2020 Novice LL team taking 2nd place in the Grafton MHA Novice Tournament. The team was so close with a 5-4 loss in the A Final. Way to go Stars! Your community is proud of you!

Our Newcastle Stars PeeWee Rep team had an amazing first round of play downs, defeating the Stirling Blues 8-3,  followed by a 4-0 victory! Congrats and best of luck in the next round! Go Stars Go!

Congrats to our Juvenile Rep team, who are coming home with Silver from the International Silver Stick!! They went undefeated all weekend, and fought hard in the final game 3-2. Some new hardware for our trophy cabinet! Great job, go Stars Go!

Congratulations to the Midget Rep team  - 2019-2020 Winners of the Brian English Memorial Tournament in Elmvale. They beat Elmvale 2-0 in the final and went undefeated all weekend. This is the second year in a row the team has won this tournament.  

Congratulations to the Atom Rep team and their first place finish at the Justin Williams Cup AE Tournament September 6-8th in Cobourg. You're off to a good start! Congratulations!
