          In a Sunday evening game your Stars met Mariposa for the first time in what would become a penalty filled contest with twelve total goals scored.  Tender Lucas Armstrong took the net for the Stars in a rough and chippy affair that saw a Mariposa forward get tossed from the game for three stick penalties while the Stars had many penalties as well. In fact, the Stars played most of the second period shorthanded due to a 4-minute major and many other penalties. 

          Your Newcastle Stars U13 met the Brock Wild for the first time this season in a Saturday night game at Harmen Arena, Oshawa. Despite being short scorers due to illness, your Stars tried to get another win in the win column. Unfortunately, the Starts just couldn’t grab a win falling to the Brock Wild 7 to 4. 

         The Newcastle Stars travelled to Lindsay to face a very strong Lindsay U13 squad Wednesday night, November 1st. Despite being down a whole forward line because of illness, the Stars tried to hold off the Muskies who lead the league in wins and goals and are sitting in first overall. Lindsay is currently undefeated.  

The battle of the Stars continued Monday night with a late game tilt between Newcastle and Millbrook. After their first loss against Newcastle, Millbrook had a point to prove and prove it they did. They stormed out of the gate, scoring three goals past L. Armstrong who got his second straight start for Newcastle. Penalty trouble and some personnel shuffling contributed to the quick lead by Millbrook, as Newcastle was hit by seasonal illnesses and game-time adjustments had to be made. 

     It was the battle of the Stars as Millbrook came to battle our boys in a fast paced, exciting game of hockey.  The opening music blared, and our squad took to the ice in what would be a tight first two periods of play. L. Armstrong manned our net and stood firm the entire game, stopping all but one of Millbrook’s shot attempts.
