Welcome to the start of the 2021-2022 Newcastle Hockey Season!

Below you will find some early season details.  We encourage everyone to watch our website and/or Facebook for regular updates.

Vaccination and Covid Related:
-OMHA have recently mandated vaccinations for anyone born 2009 or earlier, including those turning 12 during the season once they are eligible/have bday (ie. in Jan-Apr once actual bday occurs).  This includes players, coach staff, volunteers, officials
-Spectators are TBD - we are waiting on the Municipality to provide update
-All Affected Persons are required to be Fully Vaccinated (i.e.: including the 14-day period after receiving their completed dose) by October 31, 2021
-Review more specific details about this on our website HERE

Prep Skates for all registered members starting Sept 17th:
-U7-U15 will get 4 prep skates, U18 will get 3 prep skates. These will be run like a practice, with age appropriate drills
-All registered players/goalies should attend, and the last prep skate will be used to evaluate skill level to assist in creating teams
-No player/friend requests will be accepted for team creation
-These skates will be split by division. Schedule is being created, and will be released soon

Coaches:  We still need coaches at all levels for local league teams.  Apply HERE

Rep Tryouts: We are hoping to have a rep team at U9-U18, but this is dependent on interest levels.  Tryouts will be scheduled Sept 26-30, and specific details will be released soon.  For more info click HERE

Season layout:
-Static practice ice starts ~Oct 12 (updated 09/12), games start tbd (for applicable divisions)
-Mites will start first wk of October - specific schedule tbc
-5v5, normal team sizes, games allowed, regular loop for local league and rep, pathways will be followed for applicable ages
-Schedule for static practice is being created, and will be released when available
