Stars Newsletter - September 2024
The Newcastle Stars are gearing up for an exciting season with lots of updates and activities for all age groups.

September 2024 Newsletter Highlights

Select tryouts for U11, U15, and U18 are happening soon, based on feedback from members. These teams will have extra practice, opportunities to play in tournaments, and a chance to further develop their skills. Development programs are expanding, with a focus on younger players (U7-U9) through special Sunday morning sessions. There are also additional training opportunities for U11-U18 players on Mondays. The club is also preparing for local league games, with the season set to kick off in early October.

The rep teams are off to a strong start, with U11, U13, and U15 preparing for their first tournaments. There’s also a lot of excitement around community events like the Second Annual Golf Tournament on September 28th, which promises a fun day of games and prizes. Newcastle is also looking for more volunteer coaches and timekeepers to help make this season a success. Families can sync their calendars to stay on top of the busy schedule, and there’s even an opportunity to exchange or purchase hockey equipment through their Facebook album. It’s shaping up to be a fantastic season for Newcastle hockey!
