With the drop of the puck, Broke Wild's #10, fueled by an assist from teammate #03, swiftly scored the first goal only within a minute. An electric start for the home team but unfortunately an early set back for the Stars. It wasn't long before the Wild exhibited their fiery spirit, earning themselves a first 2-minute penalty for boarding. Yet the pressure didn't let up, with the Wild's second penalty given for body checking, leaving them short-handed as the first period came to a close.

As the second period commenced, Brock Wild managed a short-handed goal, once again by their sharpshooter #10, assisted by #03. Despite being a man down, they demonstrated their adaptability on the ice. Entering the third period with a disheartening score, our Newcastle stars strove to stand their ground. However, Brock Wild continued to chip away at the Stars' resilience. Goals from #88 and #19 widened the score gap, diminishing the Stars' hope of a comeback. But the game was far from over.

Newcastle Stars' #2, Archer Scott, assisted superbly by teammates Gage King and Carter Hutchison, produced an tipped one in, marking our team on the scoreboard. The crowd roared in support, reinvigorating the Stars' efforts. However, the Wild's defensive prowess, evident in their Tripping minor penalty, restricted further Newcastle advances.

The latter part of the third period witnessed a flurry of goals from the Brock Wild's #12 and #97, causing the score differential to climb. Meanwhile, the Stars showed their fierce determination to play fair, with the minor interference penalty against Dustin Macdonald and contact by Greyson Malloy.

Despite fighting back bravely, Brock Wild's relentless charge resulted in a final goal from their #19, assisted by #03 and #91. This marked an 8-1 victory for the home team over the Newcastle Stars.

As the final horn echoed within the Sunderland dome, the triumphant cries of the Brock Wild resonated while our Newcastle Stars demonstrated the definition of sportsmanship.
